Notre Dame High School's annual Careers Fair made a triumphant return on 7th February 2023 with Rebecchi Architectural joining a host of employers to talk careers.

Hosted by Developing the Young Workforce (West) school coordinator Jamie McGowan, the event proved to be one of the most well-attended careers fairs to date, with a constant stream of enthusiastic students keeping more than 20 exhibitors busy.

Stallholders at the Greenock secondary school included Bowman Rebecchi, City Gate Construction, Specsavers (Greenock), River Clyde Homes, Dales Marine, The Royal Air Force, music producer Bruce Glenny, and Diodes.

Many employers commented on the politeness and maturity of the students, with a genuine interest in finding out what each company offered, as well as their focus and engaging questions.

Several Notre Dame alumni, were in attendance, including Shona Darroch at Diodes Incorporated.

The Careers Fair provided an excellent opportunity for students to find out about a wide variety of career opportunities, work experience or volunteering, apprenticeships, school leaver programmes, part-time work, and gap year projects.

The students eagerly explored their options, spending time speaking with stallholders and engaging on their first steps on the professional ladder.

Rebecchi Architectural Director, Marco Rebecchi said: "We were delighted to support Jamie and his team at Notre Dame with the careers fair and it was fantastic to see the level of engagement from the students, particularly with the virtual reality elements of our stand.

"At this important stage of young students' development, it is vital they are able to understand their options and we were delighted to answer their questions and queries."
