New Gourock Development Homes Go On The Market
The first plots for a prominent Gourock development site have been released by Bowman Rebecchi Estate Agents.
Globe Homes is constructing the McPherson Development on land off Tower Drive, Jacobs Drive, and McPherson Drive, and has teamed up with Bowman Rebecchi Estate Agents to allow buyers to reserve a home off-plan.
The new development will create 22 three-bedroom semi-detached homes for Inverclyde, with Plots 1 and 2 now available for £275,000. Further plots are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Sales Director for Bowman Rebecchi, Linda Swan says interest has been high in the new 1.75 Acre McPherson Development.
“There’s high demand for new homes in Gourock as we know from the volume of enquiries we have received,” Swan commented.
“Over 160 people have pre-registered their interest in the 22 homes because of the high-quality nature of the development, with many already identifying exactly which plot they want to call their future home.
“The McPherson Development presents a fantastic opportunity for people eager to relocate to Gourock, as well as those currently living locally to upsize or downsize.
“We’ve also had a lot of interest from buyers that are being outbid on other homes and prefer the idea of securing a property outside of the current bidding climate.”
Bowman Rebecchi has worked closely with Globe Homes and Rebecchi Architectural to create a virtual reality experience of the homes for buyers.
Marco Rebecchi, Bowman Rebecchi, and Rebecchi Architectural Director said:
“We have created virtual walkthroughs and printed 3D models of the houses and development to further support buyers with their decision making and bring it to life.
Keen to retain heritage and tradition towards one of Gourock’s most famous sons, all of the homes are named after elements of Captain Duncan McPherson’s life.
The McPherson Development logo is also based on one of the ships that McPherson is believed to have sailed during his illustrious career and can be seen on the water fountain - donated to the town by McPherson - at the Gourock Pierhead Gardens.
Andrew Bowman, Director at Bowman Rebecchi said:
“It was important for all parties to retain as much heritage as possible with the McPherson Centre despite it being demolished.
“We believe the ship to be part of the Gem Shipping Line fleet, for whom McPherson worked for over a number of years.
“Our special thanks go to Paul Dickson for his support in creating this fitting tribute and to The Watt Institute in Greenock for confirming the accuracy of McPherson's life.”
The McPherson development is expected to get underway in the Autumn of 2022, with the first homes ready for occupancy in February 2023.
