Wet Wall Works Submits Plans For More Storage Space In Greenock
A family-run company plans to create more storage space at its Greenock premises.
Wet Wall Works has submitted proposals for the site in Lynedoch Industrial Estate to Inverclyde Council for consideration.
The 'continued growth' of the business has meant more space is needed at the facility just off Dellingburn Street.
A supporting statement, prepared by agent, Rebecchi Architectural, said: “The proposed development consists of an approximately 12x16m extension to the existing unit, designed in the same style.
“The adjacent site chosen for the addition is currently occupied by two storage containers, with the company looking to better utilise this space to provide a more effective and permanent storage solution.”
The statement added: “There are currently no suitable alternative units for sale in the area, therefore moving premises would require a relocation outside of Inverclyde.
“The proposed extension would allow the business to further expand its distribution network and increase its online sales and distribution which will continue the growth of the Lynedoch Street premises as its main hub and headquarters in Greenock.
“Furthermore, the expansion programme will allow for future jobs in warehousing, delivery, sales, and administrative roles.
“The proposed extension would ensure that the existing premises fulfill the additional space requirements, whilst allowing the business and accompanying jobs to remain within the area.”
A decision will be made on the planning application at a later date.
