Plan For More Commercial Units At Vacant Site In Greenock

New plans have been submitted for a new commercial development on land in Greenock as part of businessmen Sandy and James Easdale’s property empire.

The brothers’ Dalglen1810 investment arm acquired the former Breedon Aggregates yard on Orchard Street, between Ingleston Street and Crescent Street in November 2020.

Inverclyde Council planners later gave permission for seven small units for business, industrial, or storage/distribution use.

Rebecchi Architectural has now submitted revised proposals seeking permission for two buildings - one with nine small units ranging from 1,200 - 1,520 square feet and one containing five garages at 645 square feet.

The premises would be for industrial and storage use and would be made available to let through Bowman Rebecchi. 

The site is within the vicinity of other Easdale family commercial interests, including Blairs Windows and Doors and Arc Fleet Services.

The new application is pending assessment by officials.
