An industrial development in Greenock has been approved for land acquired by the property arm of businessmen Sandy and James Easdale in 2020.

A planning application was submitted in March 2021 to Inverclyde Council by Rebecchi Architectural seeking permission for seven small units for business, industrial or storage/distribution use at a site in Orchard Street.

Inverclyde Council planners have now given permission for the scheme to proceed with the site being advertised by Bowman Rebecchi.

Dalglen Investments acquired the former Breedon Aggregates quarry yard between Ingleston Street and Crescent Street in November 2020.

The site is close to other Easdale family commercial interests Blairs Windows and Doors and Arc Fleet Services.

Commenting on the news, Bowman Rebecchi Director Andrew Bowman said:

"This is a further welcome boost for this part of Greenock to further serve what is a strong industrial market locally.

"We invite all interested parties to contact us for further details."
